Responsible Forestry

Mid-Atlantic Timberframes understands that trees are an important natural resource our planet needs to survive and thrive. In an effort to combat deforestation, we make sure all of the wood used in our timber products is sourced from well-managed forests where our suppliers plant as many as 10 times the number of trees they harvest.

In addition, the timber waste we produce in our manufacturing process goes on to further use. Read more about how we recycle timber waste on our blog.

Mid-Atlantic Timberframes is also proud to be certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC® C164575), an independent, international nonprofit organization devoted to protecting the world’s forests.

CERC Certification

By reducing environmental risks and using pollution prevention practices, we can protect our planet and safeguard our employees and visitors to our work sites. Mid-Atlantic Timberframes achieved Certified Environmentally Responsible Contractor (CERC) status in 2021 to affirm our commitment to this cause.

To maintain this certification, all of our employees are trained in best practices to prevent pollution incidents and mitigate environmental risks. Furthermore, we carry pollution liability coverage and assume financial responsibility for cleanups.
